Estrogen levels higher among black women during menstrual cycle

New data suggest that black women have higher levels of estradiol and lower androstenedione-to-estradiol ratios throughout the menstrual cycle compared with white women, a trend that may contribute to differences in the incidence and prevalence of health issues between these two populations.

A woman’s hormones affect her taste in fabrics and textures, according to a new study which found “estrogen-driven” women prefer animal fabrics such as wool, fur, leather and silk, while “testosterone-driven” females tend to choose vegetal fabrics such as cotton and linen. The research also found that men tend to be more sensitive than women to synthetic fabrics.

Women with generalized tonic-clonic seizures (GTCS) have greater frequency of secondary seizures during anovulatory cycles, says study. Anovulatory cycles – menstrual cycles where an egg is not released than in cycles where ovulation occurs. The study published in the journal Epilepsia.

Do we ignore them or nurture their youth-extending abilities?
