[Ms HPV_vaccine_for_men_and_boys] I respect that some of you are anti-vaccines–or just anti-Gardasil—but I hope that some Ms. readers will join me in cheering what I consider a better-late-than-never decision by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. It has officially recommendedthat boys and men ages 13-to-21 be vaccinated against the sexually transmitted disease HPV (human papillomavirus) to protect from anal and throat cancers.

[2-hpv-shots-may-work-as-well-as-3-chc7smu-x-front-thumb] NATIONAL CITY, Calif. — A San Diego grandmother told 10News on Tuesday that she is outraged after she says her 11-year-old grandson was given a vaccine for human papillomavirus — or HPV — without parental approval.

According to California law, children 12 and older can ask their pediatricians for the shots that prevent cancer-causing sexually transmitted diseases without getting their parents’ approval.

Tammie Dennis said she took her grandson to his pediatrician in National City to get the vaccinations he needed to begin middle school.”The exam went OK,” Dennis told 10News reporter Allison Ash. “They gave him the immunizations and when we were leaving, the nurse gave me a card for follow-up.”Dennis said that is when “the bells went off.”As Dennis began questioning the nurse, she said Dr. Sandra Perez walked up and said, “Don’t make a big deal out of it.” Dennis said Perez told her the shot is part of the normal vaccinations given to all kids.”And I asked her, ‘Do you give this to children without their parents knowing, them not getting any information about what the effects are and why they’re getting it?’” said Dennis.Dennis told 10News she understands the use of the HPV vaccination in girls but said its effects have not been studied in boys.”They’re the guinea pigs in this,” said Dennis. “The FDA is saying it’s OK, but I’m wondering who in the FDA is trying it on their own kids?

It was too late for 21-year-old Christina Tarsell and 17-year-old Jessica Ericzon. Both healthy, athletic young women suddenly dropped dead shortly after receiving their final injection of Gardasil, a vaccine developed by Merck to protect girls and young women from cervical cancer caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV).

Should we vaccinate girls against HPV? Michele Bachmann’s blundering aside, there is no clear answer

Whenever a new medical intervention comes onto the scene, doctors have hard choices to make. Do we really know enough about its potential benefits and risks to recommend using it? If in doubt, should we err on the side of caution or on the side of hope?

These are difficult questions because medical knowledge is usually incomplete and ambiguous. They are especially difficult to answer for drugs that may prevent disease in the future, particularly when those drugs are given to otherwise healthy people. Vaccines, particularly the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, are a case in point.

[eye-210x131] The Food and Drug Administration, a very pro-vaccine government organization, has stopped Merck’s attempts to increase the approved age range for death-linked HPV vaccine Gardasil to 45. It appears that even the FDA is concerned about the effects of the Gardasil immunization, which has been tied to over 49 deaths along with countless negative reactions that have led to hospitalizations and crippled health.

HEALTH officials have moved to assure the public about the safety of a vaccine to protect girls from cervical cancer after schools got letters claiming it was contaminated.

Second-level schools with female students have been facilitating the HPV (human pappillomavirus) immunisation programme for the Health Service Executive (HSE) since before last year’s summer holidays. It is administered in three doses and more than 145,000 doses have been given to date, mostly to girls in first and second year, but a catch-up programme is extending it to sixth-year students.Irish Examiner

In seeking answers to why adolescent girls are suffering devastating health damage after being injected with HPV vaccines, SANE Vax, Inc decided to have vials of Gardasil tested in a laboratory. There, they found over a dozen Gardasil vaccine vials to be contaminated with rDNA of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The vials were purchased in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Poland and France, indicating Gardasil contamination is a global phenomenon.
