Chandler is the founder Hormones MatterTM, LucineTM Biotechnology, Lucine WomenTM, writer, editor and fierce advocate for women’s health and hormone research. Hormones Matter™ is an online, community publication dedicated to advancing hormone-health research. We are the official blog of Lucine Biotechnology, a research and diagnostic company and Lucine Women, a soon-to-be-launched, direct-to-woman, social health platform for crowd sourcing health research. We believe that by giving women the tools to understand, measure and manage their health, we can improve health for all women together.
This publication is part of Lucine’s campaign to prove hormones matter. At Hormones Matter™ we are changing the conversation; showing the world that hormone health matters by providing personal stories, evidence-based news and health research, and provocative – even humorous – commentary on the state of women’s health and women’s health policy.
We encourage the sharing of ideas and comments from our readers. As such, the opinions expressed on this site are the opinions of the authors and, unless otherwise stated, do not necessarily reflect those of Hormones MatterTM or our parent company, Lucine Biotechnology.
Marrs has also initiated a series of surveys on women’s health called “Real Women – Real Data.”
She explains that Lucine and Hormones Matter are dedicated to improving women’s health with more research and data. Marrs states that according to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Journal, fewer than 30% of OB/GYN clinical practice guidelines are based on evidence. That is unacceptable to us and should be unacceptable to you too.
We intend to change that, one health survey at a time.
The surveys are very important to fill out. It is very rare to have an independent researcher collect data from an independent – not pharmaceutical – funded study. This is where the truth about oral contraceptives, hysterectomies and Gardasil and Cervarix will be told.
If you are tired of hearing – “Its all in your head,” then take the time to fill out the appropriate data. As for the Gardasil Cervarix Survey, Marrs is encouraging women who had experience no adverse reactions to the vaccine – as well as though who have experienced adverse reactions to take them time to fill out the comprehensive survey.
