For years, Americans have heard news stories about the sick patient whose health insurance policy was rescinded in the midst of a health crisis. Now comes public acknowledgment—at a Congressional hearing no less—that this business practice exists!

Examples given in this article include a nurse from Texas who was dropped from insurance coverage because of an undisclosed visit to a dermatologist and a woman from LA woman because of non-disclosure of weight medication that she is no longer on and because she has irregular periods.
