Burkholder presented at the Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas (FAWCO)  Biennial Conference in Bern Switzerland on March 6. Preethi Burkholder is an author, entrepreneur, public speaker, mother and pianist. She is a motivational speaker for corporate events. Born in Sri Lanka, Preethi Burkholder wrote her first novel at age nine. It was titled ‘The Family in the Green House.” She felt shy about it and burnt the handwritten book. Then, at fourteen she wrote another book titled “The Mysterious Man.” She came first in Sri Lanka in her subjects at the University qualifying examination (A’Levels). Preethi moved to USA, where she won scholarships to attend Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, for her undergraduate degree and Tufts University, Massachusetts, for her graduate degree.

Preethi Burkholder has published five books: Start Your Own Day Spa by Entrepreneur Press (2006), Start Your Own Grant Writing Business by Entrepreneur Press, (2007), Finding the Money by McFarland Press (2008), Ghost Towns of the Rockies by Schiffer Publishing, (2009), and 17 Women Who Shook the World by Schiffer Publishing (November 2012). She has published over six hundred articles in American, European, and Asian magazines. Preethi Burkholder is a classical pianist an author, a professional speaker, a humanitarian aid worker for Sri Lankan women, a mother, a wife, and a daughter. She lives in Colorado.
