Health experts are urging young women to have a free cervical cancer vaccine before the $537 million Federal immunisation program ends next month.

Until June 30, the $450 three-dose Gardasil vaccine is funded for women aged 18 to 26 as part of the Government’s vaccination program.

But after the program finishes, 18 to 26-year-olds will have to pay $1350. The vaccine protects against human papilloma virus.
