On March 12, six women from around the world had the opportunity to present their concerns about the HPV vaccines Gardasil and Cervarix directly to FDA officials via webinar. This presentation came about because of one amazing mother’s search for the truth about her daughter’s untimely death.

Karen Maynor, had the typical American family. All of that changed with the death of her daughter shortly after her last Gardasil injection.

The coroner could find no cause of death for her once healthy and active 20 year-old daughter. He even went so far as to say, “This never happens, we can always find a cause of death.”

That statement sent Karen on a desperate search to find out what really happened to her daughter. She even had her entire family take genetic testing to see if there was any type of hereditary cause for her daughter’s death. Nothing she did provided any answers.

Karen turned to the internet with her questions and discovered similar tragedies around the world. She found thousands of parents with injured, disabled and deceased daughters with no apparent common thread other than a recent experience with either Gardasil, or Cervarix (both HPV vaccines).

All of them were searching for answers to the same question that plagues her, and her family to this day–What happened to my daughter?

Karen’s quest for information eventually led her to Rosemary Mathis and Marian Green who decided to provide a website where parents could network with each other and obtain information about Gardasil all in one place. This website is www.truthaboutgardasil.org.

Karen Maynor agreed to an interview with this Examiner to explain where her personal journey for answers has taken her thus far.

Karen, I know you and your family have suffered an unimaginable loss, if it’s not too painful, could you explain a little about what happened?
