Rosemary Mathis is one of the founders of “The Truth About Gardasil” website. The six women responsible for establishing this vast repository of information recently got invited to present their concerns about the safety of HPV vaccines (Gardasil and Cervarix) to several FDA officials. The presentation took place last Friday via webinar and is but one small segment of their web content.

Rosemary took time out of her busy schedule to talk with this Examiner about how it all began.

What prompted your interest in Gardasil?

My 12 year old daughter was disabled by Gardasil. Her life, as she knew it, completely changed after her third vaccination. She could no longer attend school, go to church, or live a normal life. She was always in pain and we spent thousands of dollars and many hours going to doctors who could not help her.

I spent countless hours on the internet researching how to possibly help my daughter and quickly learned I was not alone. Many other parents were doing the same thing. I discovered Gardasil Victim groups on Yahoo, Twitter and Facebook.

Can you tell me a little about the people you discovered during your research?

Yes, early on during my nightly research, I met Marian Greene. She lives in North Carolina about 30 minutes from me. Her daughter was disabled by Gardasil also. Both of our daughters received the exact same lot # of the vaccine, Gardasil Vaccine #0067X. She gladly joined me in my quest for answers.

Together we met many more parents and sick children. These parents were struggling to find answers. Each night, new victims were appearing in the groups with no idea what to do. It seemed we were spending all of our time trying to help parents figure out what to do and/or warn people about the side effects our children experienced.

Was anyone from the medical community able to shed light on the problem?

No, the vaccine is so new that a good historical record has not been established. The doctors are at a loss as far as what the actual side effects are and how to treat these children. The medical community clearly does not understand this new vaccine, its true purpose, or its potential side effects.
