…There is little information other than they suspect the autoimmune disorder Guillain-Barre syndrome, that affects the nervous system. This malady can present from many different aspects. One of the side effects from Gardasil, the drug given to young women to prevent cervical cancer, and the H1N1 flu vaccination has been associated with this illness.

Vaccines and Autoimmune Diseases of the Adult

Abstract

Infectious agents contribute to the environmental factors involved in the development of autoimmune diseases possibly through molecular mimicry mechanisms. Hence, it is feasible that vaccinations may also contribute to the mosaic of autoimmunity. Evidence for the association of vaccinations and the development of these diseases is presented in this review. Infrequently reported post-vaccination autoimmune diseases include systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory myopathies, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and vasculitis. In addition, we will discuss macrophagic myofasciitis, aluminum containing vaccines, and the recent evidence for autoimmunity following human papilloma virus vaccine.

Paralyzed by the swine flu vaccine two friends tell their story

Blitz Comprehensive Tabloid Weekly

by Christina England

They met in hospital and both believe that their Guillain Barre Syndrome was caused by the swine flu vaccine. This would be a coincidence enough but the pair were also vaccinated within days of each other in the same GP’s surgery and yet doctors refuse to acknowledge their fears, saying that the vaccine did not cause their GBS.

One small needle, a world of trouble

Downstairs in the rehab wing of Markham Stouffville hospital, in a private room with a sunny window, lies Donna Hartlen, a young mother who is now partially paralyzed.

The Whitby woman can’t stand without leaning on a walker and her legs are too numb to allow her to walk for more than a few steps. The right side of her face is paralyzed, she can’t properly chew solid food and her right eye is bandaged because she can no longer blink to protect it.

Until five weeks ago, she was a perfectly healthy woman spending Christmas with her family in Nova Scotia. And then on Dec. 29 she was rushed to an emergency room in Halifax, suddenly unable to stand on feet.

The doctors diagnosed her with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare neurological condition characterized by sudden weakness or paralysis. And while no one seems willing to discuss the likely cause, the 39-year-old knows exactly where the fault lies.

Liberté pour Tous or Pharma Free-for-All? The CDC Relents on Mandatory HPV Vaccine Requirement for Immigrant Girls and Shingles Vaccine for Immigrants Over 60 But Retains Remaining Mandates

By Adriana Gamondes

As reported by the Alliance for Human Research Protection (HERE), the activist collective of scientists, researchers and reform physicians may have had a hand in influencing the CDC’s decision to back down from the requirement that immigrant girls receive a mandatory HPV vaccine series before being granted citizenship to the US. The CDC announced it was also rescinding the Zoster “shingles” vaccine mandate for immigrants over age 60.

Along with the AHRP’s interventions and the vaccine injury movement’s rallying and injury tallying (as of summer, 2009, 15,000 adverse events from Gardasil, 3,000 injuries and 48 deaths have been reported, (HERE), we can be sure the general public’s recent skepticism over the H1N1 flu vaccine “free-for-all” brought pressure to bear on the CDC as well.

The 1976 swine flu vaccine program resulted in hundreds of cases of a rare nerve disease called Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS). This condition results in numbness and weakness in the lower limbs, which spreads upwards through the body. Some patients require hospitalization and artificial respiration due to an inability to control breathing. The paralysis associated with this condition may resolve over time, but nerve damage can also be permanent.

A holistic doctor’s thoughts on vaccination conference and gardasil

I recently had the opportunity to attend The 4th Annual Public Conference on Vaccination, sponsored by the National Vaccine Information Center. It was both a deeply moving and highly informative event. I was touched by the stories of mothers whose daughters developed Guillane Barre syndrome after receiving the human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine, better known as Gardasil. It was furthermore shocking to hear the tearful story of a mother who had lost her daughter after the vaccine. During the conference, we were told that 44 girls thus far have lost their lives after this immunization and there have been 8000 adverse reactions.

This week has shown that a large number of reports stating that Gardasil is proving unsafe. News stations around the world have reported that Gardasil the HPV vaccine has been found to cause adverse reactions. The adverse reactions range from mild, such as headaches, nausea and fainting, to the more severe such as seizures, blood clots, Guillian Barre Syndrome and even death. This information has come to light since the publication of the
JAMA papers on the 19th August 2009, showing the results of the VAERS Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. The Gardasil data published was collected from June 1, 2006 through December 31, 2008.

Merck has only recently changed packaging showing acknowledgement that this vaccine causes fainting and seizures in some children.
