Never mind the article – which is always good – Kotz had done a good job on this issue – but check out the reader’s comments – they are not buying that Natalie died of a tumor….

Autopsy-turvy

“There is no indication that the HPV vaccine, which she had received shortly before her death, was a contributing factor to the death, which could have arisen at any point,” Dr Caron Grainger, joint director of public health for the Coventry area where Natalie died said in a statement.

I got a frickin idea, why doesn’t Dr. Grainger go get a dose of that safe batch of Cervarix out of the GlaxoSmithKline incinerator, before they destroy it, and inject it into her own 14 year old daughter if she is certain there is no “contributing factor” to Natalie Morton’s death? ….. oh man I didn’t mean that, she would probably do it. Seriously, I take it back, don’t do it. Don’t hurt your daughter. Seriously don’t.

What about the other 4 girls that got sick that day immediately after getting the shot?

Science of flu vaccine

This is why if you are going to write about health science you really should have a background in health science!

The H1N1 2009 flu vaccine is really no different than the seasonal H1N1 / H1N3 vaccine that is given to pregnant women every year. All they did was change the antigen the other componets of the vaccine are the same and have been tested for years!

Misplaced Fear

I’m surprised at these comments. There is an opportunity to prevent cervical cancer and the many deaths associated with it by administering a small dose of something quite benign. You encounter the HPV virus routinely as part of your everyday life (50 to 75% of sexually active people have been infected). The vaccine most certainly is less harmful than the virus itself, yet there continues to be uncertainty expressed by a fearful public. Much of the information cited by anti-vaccine activists is grossly inaccurate, and fearful parents unfortunately think they are doing the responsible thing by denying their children an opportunity to prevent deadly diseases. Quite the opposite. Case in point, the unfortunate child at the center of this week’s Cervarix news had been undergoing medical treatment for her condition for some time. It’s precisely the type of problem the vaccine has the potential to prevent.

This is Ridiculous

These articles are complete bologna! How do they know that the vaccine didn’t cause these tumors?? There are soooo many reports of side effects with these cervical cancer vaccines. I myself was diagnosed with cancer shortly after receiving Gardasil, and I have a very strong feeling that the two were related. Drug companies are just out to make money…they could care less about the lives they might actually end up affecting. I think it is absolutely appalling that they are working on extending the approval of Gardasil to older women and to men, and on top of that, creating new formulations of the HPV vaccine! What is it going to take to get them to realize the horror of what they are doing? Mass death??

Cancer of the heart

wow – the rare coincidences just keep piling up. she happened to have cancer of the heart and lungs and no one knew. she happened to be vaccinated just when these mysterious tumors decided to wreak havoc and cause her to get dizzy and faint on the school steps…and even more strange – the ‘tumors’ caused her to have the exact same symptoms that thousands and thousands of other hpv vaccine have reported: dizziness and fainting!!!

I guess, if you want to get technical, you might realize that ‘tumor’ can also mean ‘abnormal swelling’ maybe she just had severe and progressive abnormal swelling of the heart and lungs..oh, but wait, that would mean anaphylactic shock and that would point the the vaccine.

I flat out do not believe that the vaccine didn’t contribute to her death. She is dead because of this vaccine and the medical community knows that even one death definitively linked to the hpv vaccine would be the end of the immunization program.

Doesn’t make sense

Something about this story doesn’t make sense.

Did she know she had a tumor or was she asymptomatic? Does it make sense that within hours of the jab she would die? Is the coroner saying she would die that day regardless of the shot? Is he denying a cause and effect?

I’d also like to know if the parents received any compensation from GSK, the drug maker. Their attitude was very agreeable very quickly. I’d ask the same question of the ME.

Unfortunately we know that that is the MO of large drug companies. Unless we ask those questions, they won’t get answered.

Natalie morton

Something still isn’t right with this story. According to the updated reports, Natalie had an extensive malignant tumor in her heart and extending into her lungs–a tumor of “unknown origin.” It is a little odd that this massive tumor, which could instantly kill this girl, caused no symptoms up until the point of her death? That a tumor sitting in the heart and lungs would not cause the girl to be fatigued, short of breath, grayish in color, etc? I’ve worked in healthcare, and even patients with small lung tumors often get short of breath.

The information is coming up in drips and drabs, as thought they are making it up as they go along. The girl looked very healthy and robust, certainly not like someone with a cancer so large that it instantly killed her. That’s not how malignancies usually work.
