The Truth About Menstruation

Death by Blogging – so yeah….

February 4, 2011

the reason i’m even blogging about this somewhat ‘gory’ issue is because… it’s that time of the month again and i’m mad at God for deciding that i should be a girl i want to dust off the cyber cobwebs in my blog.

guys, whatever you’ve heard from your girl friends about period cramps, they are all TRUE.
1) hurts like a bitch
2) hurts like a bitch
3) HURTS like a bitch
4) … hurts like bitch
5) all of the above
yes guys, you’ve heard about menstruation from your teacher, your mom, your sister, your girlfriend, heck you even read about it in your Biology textbook because of the interesting ‘graphics’ (Chapter 3 anyone?). but exactly how much do you know about period cramps? for girls, having their ‘period’ is NOT just a walk in the park. not a ‘smooth peaceful flow’ between the legs. when i had my first period pain, i felt like somebody was shooting bullets into my stomach. period pain is HELL and it makes you think “why???????? why don’t boys bleed too???” and your thoughts wander off to the meat cleaver in the kitchen…
absolutely never, i repeat, NEVER say things like “period pains? so what? suck it up.” to a girl in the verge of dying from period pain because she will. hate. you. forever. and i mean like forever. if she’s your girlfriend, don’t expect anymore ‘<3’s at the end of her text messages. if you don’t have a shot gun, but would like to try this at home, ask someone to throw five punches at your stomach every 12 seconds for four hours. for more realistic effect, knock your abdomen against the edge of a table… ok i’m just kidding. you can now pull your shirt down and stay away from square tables… but the pain’s the same I SWEAR.
