Monday night’s radio interview with Tracee Sioux is now posted. Tracee shattered the Disney Culture Princess Myth and offers her thoughts on how girls should be raised.

Join Leslie Carol Botha  on Monday, June 18, on Holy Hormones Honey! when she interviews Tracee Sioux, author of Love Distortion – Belle, Battered Codependent & Other Love Stories and The Girl Revolution, a blog designed to help parents raise powerful daughters. The Girl Revolution’s sole mission is to revolutionize the way we think about, treat, and raise girls.   The show will be audio streamed on KRFC FM – from 6 to 7 pm MST.

Tracee Sioux is the passionate creator of The Girl Revolution, a journalist, photographer, a writer, editor, marketer, public speaker, mother, wife, entrepreneur, seeker, reader, learner and believer. A journalist for 15 years, Tracee enjoys asking questions and probing for the answers. She most recently has written for Northern Colorado Business Report and Lydia’s Style Magazine.

She also enjoys doing corporate writing, copyediting, public relations and marketing.

According to Tracee –

One only has to Google the word “girl” to realize that the very word we use to identify young females of the human species, our precious daughters, has tragically become a four-letter word. This tragedy is a result of a consumer culture that says it’s not only okay, but quite profitable, to consume girls.

Every parent and thinking person understands that girls are one of the world’s most precious and most underused resources and that they deserve better than they’re getting from popular media, marketing, and advertising.

Tracee’s blog examines political, social, and cultural messages about who girl are and what they’re about. It’s personal. It’s passionate.
