Named one of the twenty-first century’s most prominent natural cycle thinkers, Leslie Carol Botha, WHE, is an author, publisher, broadcast journalist and an internationally recognized expert on women’s hormone health. Her work and research focuses on the significance of the hormone cycle and its profound relationship to women’s psyche. Her 35 years of research demonstrates how hormone changes/fluctuations in the menstrual cycle affect women’s physical, mental and emotional well-being. She posts her research and articles on women’s hormonal health on her blog, Holy Hormones Journal.
In 2007, Botha received a certificate of study and training as Whole Health Educator™ from the National Institute of Whole Health. NIWH has been a pioneer in providing Whole Health Education® and Whole Person Care™ since 1977. The organization is aligned with Harvard, Duke and Vanderbilt Universities and the Mayo Clinic to bring credentialing to health and wellness coaching. The National Institute of Whole Health (NIWH) is a nationally Accredited Provider of Professional Continuing Education and Development programs, endorsed and approved by leading national health care organizations.
In 2006, Botha received the Edward R. Dewey Award for her pioneering research on how women’s hormonal fluctuations affect their behaviors. The award was bequeathed by the Foundation for the Study of Cycles.
Her work is also featured in a new book titled: The World According to Cycles- How Recurring Forces Can Predict the Future and Change Your Life by Samuel A. Schreiner, Jr., published by Skyhorse Publishing, New York City.
Changing Women’s Health
Botha has just published her first book, co-authored with H. Sandra Chevalier-Batik, titled Understanding Your Mind, Mood, and Hormone Cycle. The text/workbook was written for women who want to understand the sometimes, confusing physical and psychological changes they experience each month. It is also suggested reading for men who deal with hormonal women daily; and for educators, health care and social welfare professionals who support women of all ages that are struggling with physical and behavioral issues caused by hormonal changes.
Their work is also featured in another book entitled: Teenage Girls – The Guide to Health, Wellness and Self-Esteem.
In 2015, Botha’s work was published in an anthology of writings by feminist spiritualists entitled: She Rises: Why Goddess Feminism, Activism and Spirituality? She Rises puts forth ever-unfolding patterns of feminist thoughts, experiences, and visions expressed through a variety of works including short writings, poems, essays, artworks, and research papers. Her seminal work will appear in three other books in 2018.

Botha’s main focus has been on educating women about their menstrual health and how their hormones affect their behaviors. She has dedicated the past 35-years sharing this information via workshops and lectures, articles, publications, digital media, radio on the Holy Hormones Journal.
Challenging the HPV Vaccines Gardasil & Cervarix
For the past 10 years, Botha has been involved and in sharing information and research about the potential dangers of the HPV vaccines.
In March of 2011, Botha was invited to present her concerns about Gardasil at the British Society for Ecological Medicine Conference in London. At that time she had the opportunity to meet with Andrew Wakefield, Dr. Lucija Tomlijenovic, and famed journalist, Christina England.
Botha is a former consultant for the Focus for Health Foundation and a regular speaker at the AutismOne conference. Her topics focus on endocrine disruption and ASD. Botha’s concerns are on the state of maternal health and its impact on the developing fetus. She has presented research on the hypothetical link between hormonal contraception and autism.
