We are thrilled to announce that Susan Zimmerman has joined Holy Hormone Journal as our newest research writer. Susan started her research career with the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. During her time as a Research Assistant, she helped author several papers including a first-authorship of her own. She reveled in the daily opportunity to learn something previously unknown and eagerly awaited the chance to share that discovery with the world.
As a new writer to Holy Hormones Journal, Susan has the opportunity to combine this nascent love of writing with her first love of research: searching through the tomes of medical journals and data in order to bring their information to you, in a way that is helpful and enlightening to the layman and facilitates a better understanding of topics that impact women today.
Susan’s research and writing will cover a wide range of reproductive health topics with a special focus on how these issues affect women’s medical choices. Holy Hormones Journal readers can expect to see increased Hormone News coverage, as Susan shares a Millennial’s view of the intersectionality of women’s reproductive health, medical technology, and culture.
With her research background, Susan is able to translate medical jargon into more-easily consumed, informative blog posts to answer your questions and give you the latest news on matters of Women’s Health. Her new ambition: helping you find the answers to your “why” questions of life.
We hope you see the Holy Hormones Journal as a woman’s community resource for clear, unbiased discussion about to help you understand your mind mood and hormone cycles.
